Fetal Spirit Position (Tai Shen)
Door and pestle — North (inside the room)
The Fetal Spirit (Tai Shen) resides at the door and pestle — North (inside the room) today. Pregnant women should minimise activity around these areas, and avoid moving, renovating, or altering anything there. In traditional Chinese folk custom, disturbing the Fetal Spirit is believed to affect the pregnancy — a cultural belief, not a medical claim.
